Ham with Apricot Glaze

Aproicots, ham and spices all add to the flavour of this simple slow cooker recipe.



Ingredients:

8 ounces/ 225 g dried apricots, cut in pieces
½ cups apple cider
6 tbs light brown sugar
¼ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp allspice
1/8 tsp cloves
1 canned ham (about 3 pounds/ 1.4 kg) sliced

Method:
Put apricots, into a bowl, add apple cider; cover and refrigerate overnight.
Puree apricot mixture in an electric blender. Stir in brown sugar and spices.
Remove excess jellied substance from ham. Set ham on a rack in a slow cooker. Spread apricot mixture over ham.
Cover and cool on Low 4-6 hours.

Serves 8
