Nut pound cake recipe

A slow cooker pound cake recipe with chopped walnuts


1 cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla essence
2 cups flour
1 ½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
1 ½ cups chopped walnuts

Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in vanilla essence.
Stir flour, baking powder, and salt together; add to creamed mixture and mix thoroughly. Stir in nuts.
Turn into a well greased and floured slow cooker bake pan. Cover bake pan with lid. Set in a slow cooker.
Cover and cook on High 2-3 hours, or until wooden pick inserted in centre comes out clean.
Cooker lid should be slightly raised during cooking to allow release of excess moisture.
